3 idiots (movie) based on Chetan Bhagat's novel Five Point Someone
Yeah its true!!
Finally, after all the rumours over all these years its going to be released. Don’t worry this won’t be a rumour anymore as it is officially announced as Aamir Khan’s next project after his long awaiting Gajini. Well someone has rightly said ’sabr ka phal meetha hota hai’ !! and it is well proved in this case. I have been hearing rumours of a movie based on the novel “Five Point Someone” by Chetan Bhagat since I read it first time. Some said that it is this, it is that but afterall it is better than all of their speculations that they used to make.
The cast according to the characters is as follows :
It has got an amazing star cast, starring Aamir Khan as Ryan, Kareena Kapoor as Neha Kurien, Sharman Joshi as Alok, Madhavan as Hari and Boman Irani as Professor Kurien.
Looking at the cast I wonder are they trying to play Rang De Basanti again??
Well that would be known only after its release. Till then enjoy this song “Muhn Ki baat sune har koi” by Jagjit Singh from the serial “Neem Ka Ped” that was telecasted on Doordarshan few years back.

Author of Snow Crash, Cryptonomicon and other geeky tomes Neal Stephenson described how he wrote his first book at a 2003 USENIX keynote speech. After an editor accepted his book proposal, Stephenson had to complete the manuscript quickly:

With all his vacation time and the 4th of July holiday there were 10 days, in which to write a novel. He rented a modern typewriter, secluded himself in his apartment and started to type. Soon a problem appeared: the typewriter had a modern plastic ribbon. The plastic mellowed and became sticky: it was July in Iowa City, and the apartment was hot. The only way to prevent the ribbon from getting stuck is to keep the ribbon moving. And the only way to keep the ribbon moving is to keep pressing the keys.

That discovery did wonders for his productivity. He didn't have time to think: he had to keep pressing the keys and write the first thing that came into his mind.

Twenty years later not many of us are tapping away on old school typewriters, but this is still a pretty great story of productivity by necessity.

One Night At Call Centre : The movie

everybody returning home and Harry called me to suggest some novel to accompany him in his journey back home that's when I recalled Chetan had released his third novel which is about a suicidal businessman (it seems so after readin' the excerpts) as the other previous installment this seems promising and after some googling it took straight me to Chetan's website, on the book page it shows about a movie which is on the lines of one night..... seems a big bollywood production and I was impressed

I open the movie site , directed by atul agnihotri movie seems a big project with Salman khan playing The One, Sohail playing Vroom,with esha kopikar as his love interest Esha, Gul panag as Priyanka ,Amrita arora as Radhika and major protagonist is played by Sharman as Shyam, I couldn't understand why Salman is given so much space in wesite ,probably jsut due to his marketing value because his character is a narator of movie and comprise only in less than 1% of the novel
correction : Salman is playing as Chetan Bhagat and Katrina Kaif is god(mysterious woman)

simplest LAMP installation in ubuntu

I was tinkering with my linux box for 2 days because I couldn't het my LAMP server installed and correctly configured on my distro
well hats off to Mr. shuttleworth, they have a fine utility called

tasksel

for feisty and gutsy
that installed it quite easily.
u have to push spacebar to select option
it have lots of other server like dns mail etc.
just fire tasksel on ur root shell(or as a sudo user
or if u just want to have LAMP then
type sudo tasksel install lamp-server
